In the marine environment, low resistivites of water-saturated sediments contrast strongly with high resistivities of hydrocarbon accumulations. This leads to their direct identification using electromagnetic techniques.

MARINE CSEM

MARINE TIME-DOMAIN EM
In shallow marine conditions, where conventional marine CSEM data interpretation presents difficulties due to the so-called air wave, Geosystem offers MTDEM acquisition and interpretation services. MTDEM data are processed using techniques evolved from seismic reflection processing, and the example below shows the response obtained over the edge of a reservoir.
