WinGLink® site licenses and dongles
WinGLink® requires the use of a pre-programmable dongle attached to the PC's parallel or USB port. The program may be installed and run without the dongle, but only in DEMO mode (for viewing and using databases, but without the options of creating, saving or printing).
WinGLink® installation programs and upgrades can be downloaded directly from our web site using the 'WinGLink® installation/update utility'. The download is enabled only for PC’s with a registered dongle attached. This means that only users with an active Maintenance and Support contract can download installation programs or updates.

Instructions on using the WinGLink® installation/update utility
- Download the 'WinGLink® installation/update utility'" and execute the installation program.

To download the current release of WinGLink®:
- Make certain that your WinGLink® dongle is connected to your computer.
- Under the WinGLink® item in the Windows Start menu, select: WinGLink Downloader.
- Once started, the program immediately establishes contact with the WinGLink® server.
- After contact has been established, a list of available downloads is displayed. Make the appropriate selections and click the Next button to initiate the download process. Once all files have been downloaded, click Next to automatically install the new release.

Note: The WinGLink Downloader must be able to establish a TCP connection to our server, which is listening on port 4910. If you experience problems in connecting to our server, you can specify in the third screen of the WinGLink Downloader which port the program uses to establish the connection to our server. In this case, you must ensure that the specified port is, in fact, open for communication. Your system administrator may be able to assist you in configuring the port in your network.
