The 3D Modeling module harnesses Randy Mackie's 3D modeling code to calculate the forward response of 3D MT meshes. 3D meshes may either be imported (Mackie format) into a WinGLink database or created directly in the module's powerful mesh editor. The forward responses for individual mesh columns can be exported as EDI files and then reimported into WinGLink where they can be assigned to profiles and used in subsequent 2D model inversions.

SPECIFICATIONS:
  • Import, create edit and export 3D MT meshes
  • Create views (slices) of 3D MT meshes
  • Calculate the forward response of 3D MT meshes using Randy Mackie's 3D modeling code
  • Export EDI files calculated for stations positioned on the mesh using field information returned by the forward calculation
